My father introduced me to clay at an early age. As an art teacher, painter, potter and carpenter he taught me to work with my hands.
I studied ceramics in college before pursuing a degree photojournalism. That led me to a 14-year journalism career in the Virgin Islands and Florida.
I returned to clay in 2005 while working as a photojournalist. Since then I've dedicated all my efforts toward teaching and creating with clay.
My work ranges from functional to sculptural and is fired in a range of atmospheres.
I'm currently the Director of Ceramics at First City Art Center.
